Baby Monkey PavPav Sits Still on His Little Red Cushion

A baby monkey named PavPav spends this video doing very little — and that’s exactly the charm of it. He sits on a small round red cushion, about the size of a large dinner plate, on a tiled floor at home, quietly checking himself over while he settles down.

PavPav is pale and fuzzy, with big dark eyes and pink, oversized ears that look too big for his head, the way a puppy’s paws look too big for its body. He’s small enough to curl up entirely on the cushion, roughly the size of a house cat, with long thin limbs he hasn’t quite grown into yet.

What does PavPav do in the video?

He moves between a few simple positions: sitting hunched over with his arms tucked in front of him, crouching low on all fours as he shuffles across a red mat, and perching upright on the cushion with his hands resting on the cushion’s edge. At one point his mouth is open wide, as if mid-yawn or mid-call.
