This footage follows Koko through a home morning — from a diaper change to a sink-side wash to some quiet cuddling with a young girl who clearly knows him well.

Who is Koko the baby monkey?

Koko is a young monkey being hand-raised in a household setting, based on the footage. In the opening shots he’s small enough to fit in the crook of an arm, wearing a pink diaper and resting on a bed covered in a gray-and-white blanket. A hand gently pats his belly while he holds his fists near his face, the way a human infant might.

What happens during the wash-up

Later in the video, Koko is held over a bathroom sink for a cleanup. A young girl in a red hat stands beside the sink, reaching a hand toward him while an adult holds him steady over the running water. The bathroom is small and tiled, with a mirror and a bottle of what looks like baby wash sitting on the counter.

Back to the blanket for playtime

Baby monkey Koko rests on a blanket while a hand gently pats his belly

Once he’s dry, Koko is tucked back into the same patterned blanket. In one shot he peers out from the folds while a hand offers him a pair of orange, ribbon-tied toys — maybe a treat or a rattle. He looks alert and curious, reaching a small hand toward whatever is being held out.

Toward the end, the same young girl sits cross-legged on the floor next to him, adjusting the blanket and checking on him as he lies wrapped up nearby. It’s a quiet, domestic moment that closes out Koko’s morning.

A baby monkey named Koko starts the day tucked into a leaf-print blanket, gets a wash at the bathroom sink, and gets doted on by a young girl.

[9
10,47,45,12,46,24
post-293","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-adorable-baby-monkey","tag-baby-monkey","tag-hand-raised-monkey","tag-koko-the-monkey","tag-monkey-care","tag-monkey-morning-routine","tag-pet-monkey
["GET
