A baby monkey wrapped in a soft towel makes it very clear she’s hungry, tugging at her own face and looking straight at the camera until her bottle of milk finally arrives. That’s the whole story of this footage, and it’s a sweet one to watch play out.

What does the video show?

"Looking
Looking at Baby's face, I know she was hungry. Don't worry, I'll give you milk.

The baby monkey sits propped up on a bright yellow cushion, dressed in a small gray button-up jacket with a soft mint-green towel tucked around her. A little pink fan sits behind her on the wooden table, and someone’s hand comes into frame holding a clear bottle with a yellow cap, filled with what looks like milk.

Her face does most of the talking. In one shot she presses her hand to her cheek and stares at the camera with a look that’s unmistakably fussy — the kind of expression you’d expect from any hungry baby, human or otherwise. She’s small enough to curl up entirely on the cushion, roughly the size you’d picture a house cat curling up on a pillow.

Why does she look so unhappy?

Anyone who has cared for a young animal, or a baby of any kind, will recognize that pinched, watery-eyed look. The filmmaker reads it the same way — a hungry baby who wants her milk and isn’t shy about showing it.

Does she get fed?

Yes. The bottle appears close to her mouth in the later part of the clip, and by the final frame she’s lying back against the towel with her hand near her face, looking calmer than she did at the start.

A quiet, everyday moment

There’s no drama here beyond a baby wanting her meal on time. It’s a small, homey scene — the kind of footage that reminds you how much a face alone can tell you about what an animal needs.
